My LOVE for ebay!

Ok let me try and start from the beginning on this one. My husband LOVES the Indianapolis Colts(NFL Football Team). So...as his"leaving the Army" present I bought him 2 tickets to the Dallas Cowboys/ Colts game the is scheduled for Sunday the 19th. GREAT...he LOVED them and I was actually getting pumped about the game. I bought the stuff to make a t-shirt for the game and everything.
THEN..... He joined the Reserves and yep, you guessed it! He has drill this weekend! We probably could have gotten sunday off if we had not had to have gone to the funeral last month.
Anyway, back to ebay. I decided to try and sell them on ebay. I thought maybe they would sell and we would not have to eat the 228.00 for the tickets. I took pics of the tickets and crossed my fingers about selling them. THEY SOLD IN 13 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I was SHOCKED that they sold so fast. We got 225.00 for them and after paying ebay and paypal we got 219.00.
I am glad we sold them and I am now going to start looking around the house to see what else I can sell!:0)
So....if you have not sold on ebay, you should try it! You just never know!!!!

Trying to fit in......

So, as you all know I am attending night school. I LOVE being in school BUT I am starting to realize that I do not fit in. There are younger 20 year olds in my class that are not married and women in their 40s that are mothers and have had a career for years. One of the younger ladies in my class IS a mom. We were talking about our childhoods and when it came to my turn I told them that I lived a normal childhood. Nothing bad happened to me. My parents are still married, I did not party in high school. I have never smoked or done drugs. I did not even drink until I was 21. For some reason she got all mad and was telling me that I am not normal and I was just a spoiled little rich girl. EXCUSE ME???? So b/c I was raised in a good home and my parents love me, some how that transfers to being a "spoiled little rich girl".... I just let it go but now she's really rude to me and even followed me home the other night. She was driving on my tail with her bright lights on. CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! So anyway, back to what I was saying. I am having a hard time making friends or even finding someone to talk to during class.
Maybe next semester.......

Bitter-Sweet weekend.

This past weekend my husband and I took a 15 hour road trip to Greenup, Kentucky for his best friend's funeral. The drive up was not bad. We made it from Stillwater to Uniontown, KY the first day. Joe's father is buried there along with is grandfather. His father grew up there and so I got to see the farm and the gravesite of his father. We met up with Joe's "uncle" Rodney. Uncle Rodney is Joe's godfather and his father's best friend. He told us stories about Joe's dad and I am starting to discover that Joe is a lot like his father!
The next morning we got up and traveled the last 6 hours across Kentucky to Greenup. Kentucky and Missouri are SO PRETTY in the fall. The trees were amazing! The funeral was VERY hard and sad on the both of us. There were several other 2/2 guys that were there so it was great to see them and to spend time with them. My 2 best girlfriends came with their husbands so it was AWESOME to get to see them, although I wish it were under different circumstances. My friend Jen has a 10 month old that I got to see for the first time. He's ADORABLE!!!!!(and looks like his mommy...thank god):0)
The car ride home sucked because this time we did it in 1 day instead of 2. The last hour before home I could not keep my eyes open....thank god Joe was driving...but I was no help to keep him awake! The ride up and back was great. Joe and I got a long perfectly and we actually got to talk to each other. Since I work all day and take night classes it is kind of hard sometimes to have a quality conversation time.
Please continue to keep Garth's wife and parents in your prayers.
Thanks
